The term "Mild" simply denotes pressures below 1.5 ATA, typically 1.3 ATA.  The lower treatment pressure does not make mild hyperbaric any less effective in the treatment of many conditions; however, there are most certainly times and places where deeper pressures are indicated.

Special Note: Pressure is not the only variable being utilized in a hyperbaric treatment.  Duration, Oxygen Concentration, and Frequency must also be considered when comparing and designing treatment protocols.
