This article is a complement to an earlier article regarding hyperbaric and performance enhancement.  All too often I find that athletes are both confused about what hyperbaric therapy is and mislead regarding what altitude training is really accomplishing.  Learn about the differences at Discover Hyperbaric.

Blood Morphology

Hyperbaric makes sense for quencing oxidative stress associated with high-intensity training.  Do you have any info as to blood morphology changes ie: hemoglobin levels, RBC counts, induced by hyperbaric therapy.  I work with patient's at high altitudes (some sleep well above 10,000 ft.) and work to maximize hemoglobin levels.  My concern would be reducing hemoglobin levels that serve them well for high altitude living/training.  Any thought on the matter would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Getting to the truth

I am glad to see someone is finally cutting through all the misleading information about Mild Hyperbaric use in sports preformance.
