This last weekend was the International Symposium for Hyperbaric Oxygenation in Irvine, California... For those of you who attended and we had an opportunity to speak, it was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to when we can bring the Industry back together again. For those of you who did not attend... I will try to give some highlights regarding our experience at the Symposium so you can at least share in some of the knowledge. Stay tuned!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with Greg Ficher over at the the Family Hope Center in Pennsylvania. Not only do they incorporate hyperbaric as a key component of therapy, they truly understand the meaning of synergy and the importance of family in facilitating treatment. They have a very unique model in which the focus is "empowering" the patients family/caregivers. This allows the patient to achieve maximum results; after all... we live at home, not at the therapy center! Read more »
The 7th International Symposium is only six weeks away... be sure to visit www.hbot2010.net to learn more about the dynamic speakers and schedule of events.
We plan to arrive late Thursday evening, so we will miss the social... but still looking forward to seeing everybody throughout the weekend.
See you in Irvine, CA

If you are looking to learn about what is really going on during a mild hyperbaric treatment, this is a must read for you. If you are confused about how oxygen integrates with the treatment, this is a must read for you. If you are questioning what the ideal pressure, duration, or frequency is... this is a must read for you. In fact, this is a must read for anyone in the mild hyperbaric community that is either considering, administering, or researching mild hyperbaric therapy!

This article was written about two years ago regarding "WHY" we see hyperbaric growing so fast as both a primary and adjunctive treatment in virtually every condition that ails mankind. Learn about the role hyperbaric plays in energy production and why pressure is the key to overcoming the hurdles of the circulatory system.

This article is a complement to an earlier article regarding hyperbaric and performance enhancement. All too often I find that athletes are both confused about what hyperbaric therapy is and mislead regarding what altitude training is really accomplishing. Learn about the differences at Discover Hyperbaric.

I just posted an Article I had written about a year ago regarding hyperbaric and the treatment of Autism. Personally, I believe that with most neurological conditions, Autism included... the therapy is highly undervalued and greatly over-complicated. I hope this article helps to shed some light for those of you who have heard the "this and that" about hyperbaric and autism and whom are left confused and hesitant. In the end, you never know what any therapy holds in benefit until you try it! Read more »
I just posted an article I had written sometime ago on sports performance and hyperbaric. The article helps paint the picture as to why hyperbaric may be a better alternative to ergogenic aids such as steroids and other pharmacological aids athletes currently use. I will be accompanying this article another entitled hyperbaric vs. hypobaric. Stay Tuned !

I just posted a new article discussing the physiology of the outer, middle, and inner ear; how pressure changes (like those during hyperbaric) effect this particular physiology; and some does and don'ts of how to cope/manage this all too common problem of hyperbaric treatment.
